The governorship ambition of chairman of the Economic Team of Edo State Government and aspirant of All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has received a boost, with delegates from the three local governments in Etsako endorsing his candidacy.
The three councils are Etsako Central, Etsako West and Etsako East Local Government Areas.
The endorsement took place at a meeting held in Jattu, when the APC chairmen in the three councils led their delegates to declare their support for Obaseki, who is the anointed candidate of their son, Governor Adams Oshiomhole.

The meeting was coordinated by the member representing Etsako federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr Philip Shaibu.
The chairman of APC in Etsako West, Alhaji Abubakar Akokhia, who displayed the signatures and pictures of the delegates to journalists, said delegates from the area have scrutinised all the aspirants in the race and concluded that Obaseki remains the best to succeed Oshiomhole.
